Welcome to Cnoc Mhairi, a modern three bedroomed detached
holiday home situated in a quiet residential area of Portree on the
Isle of Skye. The accommodation
sits on a hillside near Glen Varigal Forest, with elevated panoramic
views of Portree Bay and Ben Tianavaig, as well as having a clear
outlook to the Cuillin mountains.
This is a wonderful location for a self-catering Highland Holiday,
only a few moments away from Portree's bustling town square, and
the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Skye. This house
has been furnished with every care and offers you a comfortable
home with every convenience for your holiday.
The accommodation sleeps 6 persons (max) and comprises: -
Lounge/Dining Room
Two sofas, two chairs, coffee tables, bookcase, colour TV, video,
hi-fi including CD player, dining table and six chairs.

Kitchen
Breakfast bar, electric cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine,
tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave, Food processor, electric kettle,
toaster and a full range of kitchen equipment including crockery
and glassware.
Bedroom I
Double bed, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, chair, bedside cabinet
with shower room, wash hand basin and toilet ensuite.
Bedroom 2
Double bed, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, chair, bedside cabinet
and wash hand basin.
Bedroom 3
Two single beds, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet
and wash hand basin.
Bathroom
WC, wash hand basin, shaving socket, bath and electric shower.
General Information
The accommodation has full electric central heating and the cost of all
electricity is included in the price. In the living room there is
an open fireplace with electric fire, however, guests are welcome
to burn an open fire if desired – buckets and companion set
are provided and coal and logs can be obtained from the Portree Filling
Station down the road.
There is a large, mature, well-maintained garden
with a patio and a small play area with swing, slide and
trampoline.. The garden to the rear has a clothesline with pegs
supplied. The front has a garden seat with magnificent views over
Portree bay and
towards the Cuillins. This is the kind of unforgettable
scene for which the Isle of Skye is world famous. Cnoc Mhairi has its own off the
road private driveway (5mph) with ample parking and turning space.
- All linen is provided
- A welcome pack of Coffee, Tea, Bread and Milk is provided for
your arrival.
- A steam iron and ironing board are provided.
- A cot can be provided on request (Please arrange at time of booking).
A highchair is also provided for your use.
- Hairdryers are available in all bedrooms.
- Pets are accepted by arrangement (any fouling must be removed
from all the grounds around the cottage and disposed of appropriately).
- Restricted smoking areas (no smoking in bedrooms)
- We are open all year round
This holiday home can be occupied from 4 p.m. on the day of
arrival and must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
To ensure the comfort of future guests, we request
that you report any damage /breakages to Maggie before your Departure.
