B&B Information

 

Our accommodation comprises of two double ensuite bedrooms, one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor. Both rooms are comfortably furnished with colour TV, radio alarm, hairdryer and a generous hospitality tray. Each ensuite shower room has a wide variety of toiletries and shaving socket as standard.

We have a large and varied breakfast menu to choose from including fresh locally smoked kippers. You'll enjoy breakfast overlooking Portree Bay.

Ard Chuain is only a fifteen-minute walk or a minute's drive to Portree Village Centre. Portree is Skye's capital and is an ideal base for touring the whole island. There are a selection of local craft and knitwear shops for those extra special souvenirs. There are also many excellent restaurants, including speciality seafood, all offering fresh local produce.

We have a large spacious garden, where guests are welcome to sit and enjoy the beautiful views over the Bay and Portree.

Golf, fishing, hill walking, horse riding, bike hire and boat trips, to name but a few are all within easy reach. Reservations can be made for any of the above. Visit the famous Dunvegan Castle, Talisker Distillery (a must for all whisky drinkers) or the Museum of Island Life. Or why don't you take in a ceilidh? Sit back and let the locals entertain you with traditional music, song and dance.

How to get here

We are very easy to find, coming from "The Skye Bridge", as you enter Portree you will pass the "Welcome to Portree" road signs, we are the second on the left, first on the hill. if you require more detailed directions click here

As an alternative to the bridge you can get a Calmac ferry from Mallaig to Armadale or use the Skye Ferry (Easter to October only) from Glenelg to Kylerhea.

Citylink Buses serve Portree from Glasgow, Fort William, Inverness and many other parts of Scotland.

The nearest airport is at Inverness.

Car hire is available in Portree from Portree CoachworksCheap car hire from Car Rentals.co.uk is available throughout the UK and worldwide.
